The Mansa Floating Hub launched on August 14th 2021, by Africa Development Solutions (ADS), through its creative platform Social Nation. The inauguration has been an iconic few days climaxing with the Baía das Gatas Music Festival, Cape Verde’s biggest and oldest music and cultural festival.
The Hub comprising of three floating vessels – a multipurpose live performance hall (in the large vessel), a state-of-the-art recording studio (in the medium vessel) and a food & beverage bar (in the small vessel) – form a communal cluster around a triangular floating plaza, creating an open space for small to medium sized gatherings.
Mansa Floating Hub is a story of Africa’s greatest wealth – creativity. Its launch and series of events will highlight and showcase the power of fusing ideas, the creative imagination and technology innovation into a development agenda of Africa.
